Advanced Energy Systems
The administration of the Department of Applied Physics was reorganized in the beginning of 2008. In the process all laboratories of the department seized to exist as fiscal entities. The activities of the research groups of the former Laboratory of Advanced Energy Systems, namely, Radiation Physics, Fusion and Plasma Physics, New and Renewable Energy Systems, and Laser Physics can now be found under the research groups: Fission an Radiation Physics, Fusion and Plasma Physics, New and Renewable Energy Systems, and Nanomagnetism and Spintronics.
